  MFC rev. 1.129.  (Attempt #2 to fix this problem without breaking
  anything else.)
  
  When creating a new md, g_waitidle() to make sure the /dev entry gets
  created before mdconfig(8) returns, *but only if it's not a preloaded
  md*.
