When I first bandaided it yesterday (at re@'s request), I defined
mp_maxid statically with 0, and the system point out wouldn't boot
because of this... or rather the lack of this change.

I didn't commit my bandaid because it didn't reach re@ due to local
DNS problems (I have since updated BIND).
