No, please don't do that. These moves are *very* disruptive to users,
especially when you're trying to update ports on a system that hasn't
been updated in a while.
I said many years ago that we should be versioning port directory names
and using latest_link to handle 'pkg_add -r xfce'. Having spent a
non-trivial amount of time over the last year+ updating a bunch of old
systems, and more recently taking my laptop out of mothballs after just
a few months, I'm more convinced of this than I ever was.
