No, nevertheless the port builds hang. Actually it's quite a problem
because somehow the tcltls hangs are holding up all of the other
package builds until I explicitly kill them.

That may or may not be a separate issue.
Please re-disable the self-tests until you can conclusively identify
and solve this issue, thanks.
