problem installing aic7xxx

Hello everybody,

why trying to install aic7xxx for my scsi bus adaptor
(Adaptec 29160N) on my RED HAT ES 3, the following
message appears:

$ root > rpm -i aic7xxx-6.3.6-rhel3.i686.rpm

Adaptec aic7xxx driver installer - V6.3.6-1

ls: /boot/aic7xxx-backup*: No such file or directory

Backing up all modified files to
/boot/aic7xxx-backup-0

Using GRUB configuration
If this is not what you want, rename your
/boot/grub/grub.conf file

/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.21-32.ELsmp
/boot/initrd-2.4.21-32.ELsmp.img Red Hat Enterprise

In addition, mys system does not seem to see the
adaptec card, and when i trie to install module
aic7xxx:

$ root > insmod aic7xxx
insmod: aic7xxx: no module by that name found

my /etc/modules.conf looks like:

alias eth0 tg3
alias scsi_hostadapter1 mptbase
alias scsi_hostadapter2 mptscsih
alias scsi_hostadapter3 cciss
alias usb-controller usb-uhci
alias usb-controller1 ehci-hcd
alias scsi_hostadapter4 aic7xxx
