This is because binary modules must be rebuilt for every kernel version
bump regardless of whether any interfaces have changed. The RPM does
not include 2.4-20-13.7 binaries, so you lose the ability to talk to
the aic79xx controller the instant you upgrade your kernel. Our next
RPM release should support this kernel, but I don't expect it to be
available for another week. In the meantime, you can compile a custom
kernel with the updated aic7xxx driver souce from here:
