Hello,

I'm trying to use a Sony CD-Writer (CDU 926) with an adaptec 2910 and
a Linux 2.2pre8 kernel.

This is the message I got at boot time (or when lloading aic7xxx module)

(scsi0) <Adaptec AIC-7850 SCSI host adapter> found at PCI 19/0
(scsi0) Narrow Channel, SCSI ID=0, 3/255 SCBs

SCSI host 0 abort (pid 3) timed out - resetting

I've tried several options concerning parity verbosity etc... without effect.

The CD-Writer is detected :

nostromo >cat /proc/scsi/scsi

or in /proc/scsi/aic7xxx/0

Type: WORM ANSI SCSI revision: 01

But if I tried to use it, it results in a kernel panic with parity error messages.

Any idea ?
