Advice on disk purchase?

I'd go one further and buy the LVD version -- another speed factor of two.
When the differential cost is *so* small (same price from our normal supplier),
it's always worth "future proofing" your purchases !

All LVD devices have circuitry to fall back if any device on the bus is not
