cd recorder

Hi,

  I've been a very happy Linux/2940 user for the past year.  I'm
  recently having problem with the new CD-recorder(Yamaha 400tx).
  I've tried to test it out with just the command:
    cdwrite --eject

  and I've a lot of error messages regarding of timeout and it kept
  trying and trying which halt up the system for a very long time
  before it gave up.  Any idea

  BTW,  I looked at the dmesg, and the message for the CD recorder
  always said:

    ....Unable to synchronous.  Asynchronous transfer....

  Here is my configuration:
    2940,
    SCSI ID 0, HD (external)
    SCSI ID 1, HD (external)
    SCSI ID 3, HD (internal)
    SCSI ID 4, HD (internal)
    SCSI ID 5, CD (internal)
    SCSI ID 5, CD recorder (external)
