 Thanks for the response. -
 
 Since my target scsi device sets sense buffer information when it
returns CHECK_CONDTION, I could possibly use the sense 
information instead. The problem, however, is that when I check the
sense buffer at the user interface level, its empty.

 Does the aic7xxx driver return sense buffer information when there
is a CHECK_CONDITION status? If it does, perhaps I have a mid level
driver problem (in sg.c).
