I really appreciate that.

What I've called IME is pretty normal on windows. At the moment, I can't say
the correct word.
You can simply think of it like ibus, fcitx etc,  as a language input tool such
as it can help type strings in the textbox with other locales.

When I setup *nix, I always install the ibus package (or language ). because
asian language inputs are needed.

As for now, there are no ~/.xsession-errors and nothing suspicious on
/var/log/messages.


Like you said I was also thinking it was a locale problem. Fortunately, I
didn't notice the locale problem you mentioned and English speakers don't use
ibus. As you said, I thought of removing the locale-related settings, and when
I did, there was no problem. Try installing en-ibus-hangul. And if you see an
ibus related icon in the upper right corner of xfce, you're done. It will be
obvious that ibus is the one that will make an impact.

Sorry for being a non-English speaking user. I was also very frustrated.
Fortunately, I used Google Translate to write the words smoothly.
