https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=270509 --- Comment #52 from Emmanuel Vadot <manu@freebsd.org> --- (In reply to Lena from comment #49) > The video chip GeForce 6150 on my motherboard was supported by x11/nvidia-driver-304, but not anymore. > I had to switch from nvidia to nv and from i386 to amd64. Well, that's one problem when you use hardware from 2004. > I use KOI8-R/KOI8-U locale (as was standard for Russian and Ukrainian when I switched from MS-DOS to FreeBSD) instead of UTF-8. > editors/aee doesn't support Unicode, and to distinguish text files from binary files for migration to Unicode is quite non-trivial and error-prone. > VT requires Unicode locale. So you're not using unicode because of one tool that you use ? > I use 11 virtual SC consoles for everything text, including email (mail/mutt). You want to move everything into X, I don't. Don't force everybody to do everything exactly same as you do. No I want to move everything that uses X to Wayland but that's another story :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
