I still have a backup of /var/cache/pkg which has everything needed to install
xorg-server-1.20.11_3,1, which is what I'm currently using.  This older xserver
would probably work with nv.
But there are lots of other files in there and the directory is 3.5GB in size.
Perhaps you still have xserver-1.20.14,1 and all the other binaries which it
uses under /var/cache/pkg, which you could simply install directly from that
directory.
Better to have a working xserver than a newer one which does not work.
