Thanks for the info.

It is pretty confusing (and disappointing) to learn that it doesn’t work.
Mostly because, after learning to decipher AMD’s goofy code names, I was
finally able to buy a card with a code name that appeared in the amd firmware
package.

It’s really not clear to me which ones are supported and which aren’t. I’ve
spent a couple dozen hours at least reading through source code, articles about
Linux 5.10, etc. So I don’t think I’ve been lazy - but maybe there is some
obvious documentation that I completely overlooked.

In any case, I am going to try my luck with an nvidia card. They appear to be
clear on exactly which products they support (unlike AMD, whose branding and
code names are absolute madness.. and that’s before you even get into porting
it to FreeBSD).
