The 11a mode for a card with the Intel AX210 chipset also does not = work when enabled with standard methods:

root@name:~ # ifconfig = wlan0 create wlandev iwlwifi0 wlanmode hostap mode 11a
=
ifconfig: SIOCIFCREATE2 (wlan0): = Operation not supported.

I am building a router = that works and also provides other services. Finally i'm going to = replace my ISP-provided router with my own hardware. To achieve full = functionality, support for Multicast is required for IPTV on a bridge with = both Ethernet and Wi-Fi cards. This can also be done with an external = router, such as the TP-LINK Archer AX23 with OpenWRT. However, this setup = introduces double NAT translation, and the TP-LINK device struggles down = during Multicast handling for IPTV. It often stops working properly, = and other services no longer function. Additionally, it is impossible to = connect to the Archer AX23's 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks with any devices = other than the TV. For these reasons, I opted for the Intel AX210, but = unfortunately, HOSTAP does not work on this card.

Best = Redgards

The iwlwifi supports hostap only for 11a and with that is a bit =

I currently have no plans to add HOSTAP support to LinuxKPI for =
iwlwifi;

a lot more sense to run as AP.
