For instance, how would "ifconfig foo DHCP" be implemented? What exactly are its effects? I can think of some answers to this (OpenBSD has an interface like this), but there are lots of details to sort out, plus the question of backwards compatibility. It's not clear what "WPA" would mean, isn't that just the authmode keyword?
