I've put what seems to be a working workaround for the problem for now up at
[1].  If you don't use arc, you can download and apply the patch locally by
using the "Download Raw Diff" link on the right.

Note that as stated this might not be the final solution but should do the job
for the moment for rtw88.  The diff is against main but should equally apply to
stable/14 or releng/14.2 for that matter.
