In many cases, it never recovers. It restarts, associates with the AP, but resets again during DHCP config. This repeats continuously. After a few attempts, the interface does not even associate. This continues and periodically associates without getting an address. Given enough time, it s= eems to associate in most cases, though I have let it try for over 30 minutes on= one occasion. I have no other available WiFi, so I can't rule out a hardware problem. Pro= blem first noted about a month ago. No other network use causes this reset. There was a reference to this same problem in a forum thread almost a year = ago. It is in the thread:=20 https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/cheap-wireless-usb-adapter-rtl8188eu-rtl= 8821au-or-something-else.78563/ This was off-topic and was not further discussed. I suppose that this may b= e a hardware problem.
