By now, on an updated system you should not need either anymore.
I think someone else had already replied that the loader.conf line is
not need at all anymore (and neither is the kld_list in theory).

I do not.

I believe I know the reason for this;  it's likely also a problem for
roaming in theory.  I'll try to remember to look into it next week.
