Can you please share the bhyve configuration you are using?  That is, what
command-line arguments is bhyve run with?

What does "memory intensive actions" mean?

One shortcoming of the OOM killer with respect to bhyve is that killing bhyve
doesn't destroy the VM, so doesn't release much of the memory automatically.
