Let me try to understand why this has been closed as duplicate and what I need
to do to make it work with bhyveload:

* bhyve uses the hypervisor's loader to load the VM
* The VM expect something which neither 12 nor 13 contain, therefore they fail
* I shall compile from stable/14 or main the loader and supply that as an
alternative loader

Is that correct?
