I am updating the patch, adding the manual page I had adapted for NetBSD. I
haven't build-tested it yet for any missing steps for integration, and I am not
yet familiar with possible differences for manual pages in FreeBSD compared to
NetBSD.

Unfortunately in my latest tests, the driver still panics when attaching, and
if I remember right it happens in if_mediainit() when initialising a list. (I
do not have access to the hardware of to my notes at the moment, sorry)
