down from 1Gbps/FDX does not change behavior, nor does disabling power management on the switch port involved. The igb interfaces do not flap at all, nor do ue interfaces on the Pi3 that is on the same network segment and switch (physically adjacent to this machine.) This box is the network gateway to the outside (cable modem is attached to it) and does have and route both Ipv4 and v6.
