with debugging flag enabled, & unplugging all the USB peripherals, finally only
re-adding the mouse/keyboard

"wPortChange=0x0020" might indicate a "Warm Port Reset Change (WRC)".

Could you also enable:

sysctl hw.usb.debug=17

and

sysctl hw.usb.xhci.debug=17
