Can you confirm that you have the uptodate ports tree?

One more thing is it looks like there are some files being used from the old
version of tex. If you look at the errors and my log files you can
differentiate better.

In any case I would advise removing all tex ports and removing the folder
manually /usr/local/share/tex* and then reinstalling as this is difficult to
debug.
