I've spent hours troubleshoot= ing it and thought something to do with the video if connected to the PC. I use piKVM to see what's going on. Soon as I disconnect the video it boots normally. I am using pfsense with FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT. It happened with the previous version of FreeBSD. Turns out my fix was update the BIOS on the Dell OptiPlex 7070 to 1.21.0. Previous version was 1.8.4 as you can see it's over two years old. I gener= ally don't update the BIOS unless a serious security concern or a bug. Apparent= ly it was a bug that bit me. Netgate pfSense Plus 23.05-RELEASE (amd64) built on Mon May 22 15:04:36 UTC 2023 FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT Vendor: Dell Inc. Version: 1.21.0 Release Date: Fri Apr 7 2023 I was not able to use the legacy BIOS boot for nvme. It only works in UEFI. Hope this helps for those use Dell machines. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
