Trying to boot in any possible combinations has shown that boot process crashes exactly when all these three conditions are met: 1) Flash drive is inserted into USB port. 2) AHCI mode is chosen in BIOS settings. 3) The loader sees the Flash device (as drive D) (this occurs when "USB legacy support" is chosen in BIOS settings).
