Sorry for hte slow response - this vm is rarely rebooted apart from
updates. And so it was rebooted to apply 14.1-p1 => 14.1-p2 via freebsd-update:

Updating /var/run/os-release done.
Clearing /tmp.
Starting syslogd.
No core dumps found.
Starting rpcbind.
