While I want to think that FreeBSD is at the core of people's life, that's the
arrogant thing about rust that makes the rust community so toxic to deal with.

If we were not maintaining those interfaces in amd64 _or_ if it didn't make
rust work, then I might tilt towards holding out.  AFAICT, there's no
additional work to having COMPAT* work.  No libraries, no code --- isn't all of
COMPAT* simply sub functions that forward to new stuff?

I would call US out for being silly to not recommend this change.  It's a zero
effort change and it fixes a very real problem.
