I realized that it would be a waste of time fixing an undetermined number of packages, maintaining the patches and so while waiting them to get accepted by upstream.=20 In my experience, upstream wouldn't care much about updating because they d= on't see any benefit on changing something that's working for a long time just because of new Tier 2 platform. I see riscv would be more appealing than powerpc* at this point but someone at FreeBSD side should work with affected projects to get interfaces updated.
