Patch levels do frequently baffle people,

The unofficial bokut.in patch level table can sometimes help. In this 
case, <https://bokut.in/freebsd-patch-level-table/#releng/14.1>.

Ask yourselves: did any of the four patches, for level 6, affect a 
kernel file?
