% cd /usr
% fetch http://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/ports/ports.tar.gz
% tar -xvzf ports.tar.gz [lots of output]
% whereis libmaxminddb
/usr/ports/net/libmaxminddb
% cd /usr/ports/net/libmaxminddb
su
# make install clean
