The M3 Studio has great disk performance.  I don't have access to the RPI 5 yet.  A customer is supposed to deliver one to me for his application, but not so far.  The RPI form factor is pretty much the size of 2 decks of cards - on on top of the other.  The most inconvenient aspect is that the power and internet connectors are on different sides which makes housing multiples a bit difficult.
