Sorry but blame google and/or gmail for the top posting. I use whatever their defaults are and that's not going to change unless they change it. There was a time, oh I don't know, 30 years ago now, where I'd be a pompous advocate of such a thing as well. RFC's surrounding usenet described this in pretty clear detail. (Just looked it up: 1855). At this point in my life all I would suggest to you is to either suck it up or ban/ignore the messages from senders you don't want to see. Mine included. I found this to be a better approach than attempting to correct people on what is the proper `netiquette'. ~Paul On Fri, Jan 20, 2023 at 11:44 PM Ian Smith <smithi@nimnet.asn.au> wrote: > On 21 January 2023 12:09:40 pm AEDT, Stavros Filargyropoulos <stav@stav.cc> > wrote: > > > Something doesn't add up and is bugging me. > > This has been bugging quite a few people for quite a few years: > > https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=173541 > > What says your? > # sysctl kern.eventtimer | grep -v .et. > > Is your system using LAPIC?
