Thank you guys for answering! I would love to go pfsense but I wanted to do this on a bare FreeBSD install for learning experience. Especially learning pf as I come from the iptables way of doing things and find pf much more readable, and sane lol. Also it would help me learn a bit about zfs, snapshots, and boot environments as well. That’s the main reason why I go the route of masochism, to learn as quickly and effectively as possible.
