I wonder if anyone uses ProtonVPN with FreeBSD? I see that there is a protonvpn-cli port available but not sure what it is exactly? It doesn't have maintainer and last update was in April 2021. I know ProtonVPN officialy supports few GNU/Linux distros and has some dedicated app available. On their website they mention that OpenVPN can be used to connect ProtonVPN servers on distros which are not yet officially supported. I don't mind using OpenVPN but on the Proton's website they note that their app support some advanced features like: NetShield Adblocker, Permanent Kill Switch, Kill Switch, Secure Core. Not sure if it's possible to have full feature-set available with OpenVPN too? I guess at this point I'm looking for some sugestions if I should play around with the protonvpn-cli port, use OpenVPN or maybe use Linux binary compatibility to run the official app?
