And isn't this done by lang/python, which sets a link from
/usr/local/bin/python to /usr/local/bin/python3 (installed by lang/python3),
which sets a link from /usr/local/bin/python3 to /usr/local/bin/python3.11
(installed by lang/python3.11)?

If this is the cause, could it be that reinstalling lang/python3 and
lang/python helps? UPDATING entry 20240509 does not mention this ...
