Thank you for the report, Robert.  That's an interesting issue but I cannot
reproduce it, yet.

What I've tried so far (on a git based ports tree):

- Build devel/py-setuptools_scm (unmodified) via poudriere -> no issues, takes
~30s to build.

- Run the test-suite via "make test" -> no issues, takes ~45s to complete

- Add "BUILD_DEPENDS=git:devel/git" and build devel/py-setuptools_scm via
poudriere -> no issues, takes ~45s to build.

Could you please give me some more information about the setup of your
environment and how devel/py-setuptools_scm is built?
