I had a look at Handbook and at https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports/branches but since Github is just a mirror I wanted to clarify this, as there are last 2 quarters there as active. So the way I read the docs, only main branch and current quarter branch are maintained. The latter of course only in respect to security updates.
