I have not modified the message, but yes, Sage is still broken.

I’m trying to upgrade it with every new release, but it has too many
dependencies, and it is strongly linked to their versions: unfortunately
in the ports tree some are too old and some are too new, and we’re
always caught up in this kind of problem.

I had thought of removing it, but I still have a little hope: upstream
has begun a major restructuring, which should make Sage more modular.
