Maybe at least the 3 files should be removed from pkg-plist.
The release note states as below.

  plustek_pp: Support removed for deprecated Linux kernel driver build.

Are you setting DOCS option for this?
If so, try unsetting it. It's non-default option for this, and maybe
untested by the maintainer.

Sorry, I've not actually tested. I must wait for very time-consuming
www/chromium build before updating ports tree to any revision including
the update.
