The O_PATH flag which plays an important role in the new  Samba VFS has
been added to FreeBSD 13.1 Release (
https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=open&apropos=0&sektion=2&manpath=FreeBSD+13.1-RELEASE&arch=default&format=html
). I guess this will make updating the port easier, but it will not run on
older FreeBSD releases.
