It looks like at least some Linux systems support a roughly similar feature
using MAP_HUGETLB/MAP_HUGE_2MB/MAP_HUGE_1GB/MAP_HUGE_SHIFT, but my Raspberry Pi
(the only Linux system I have on hand) doesn't seem to have huge pages enabled.
