https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=284325 Bug ID: 284325 Summary: clamav pkg-static: Fail to rename /var/.pkgtemp.db.* -> /var/db:Not a directory Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: joel@tahoestores.com The latest release fails to install for me using ports or pkg. The install errors out during the install and reports: pkg-static: Fail to rename /var/.pkgtemp.db.ZwaI0ZKkUanN -> /var/db:Not a directory *** Error code 1 I suspect the problem is that my /var/db is a soft link to /zusers/var/db. One other port 'vuls' recently started to fail in the same manner. So my mail server is currently minus clamav as make reinstall first deletes and then installs. I cannot get either the port make or pkg install to reinstall. I thought I would check in here to see if this intentional on your part or whether I should improve my installation by either making /var/db a hard link or perhaps I should mount /zuser/var/db as /var/db under ZFS. root@tahoestores:/var # uname -a FreeBSD tahoestores.org 13.4-RELEASE-p1 FreeBSD 13.4-RELEASE-p1 GENERIC amd64 Please advise.
