If one needs the report builder in libreoffice (a fairly standard situation for
anyone using the database capabilities), it is necessary to rebuild from ports
and remove the --disable-report-builder option.

That would not be a big deal except doing so has widestread ramifications --
updates to ports force things like gstreamer to be upgraded, which breaks
packages as "unrelated" as darktable.  The net result is many things which
could otherwise be installed via a package have to be rebuilt from ports.
