Anyone trying to assist this, please provide:

- exact FreeBSD user-land version
- command line of the port upgrade tool (portmaster or portupgrade)
- all configuration files for the chosen tool
- a dump of your environment (remember to purge passwords, say, from
http_proxy)
- a hint which shell is executed
- which ports are affected
- if *YOU* can reproduce.

Because this seems to be an elusive and maybe dodgy finding.  
Note that I do believe you see an issue during the build, but I cannot
reproduce it, and so cannot debug this.
