But, I did not troubleshoot it. I installed FreeBSD 14.2 in the hope that it would be fixed. It didn't. Once again, deleting /usr/local/etc/sane.d/dll.d/epsonscan2 is a *workaround* for me. It may not be the fix. The segmentation fault is generated by sane-backends-1.3.1/backend/dll.c. Getting segmentation fault because of /usr/local/etc/sane.d/dll.d/epsonscan2 is too harsh, I think. Sorry, I did not dig deeper into sane-backends-1.3.1. Also, my Epson printer is connected to my computer through an ethernet cable.
