https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=284564 Bug ID: 284564 Summary: net-mgmt/vmutils: don't use /tmp as buffer directory for vmagent Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: danfe@FreeBSD.org Reporter: janlugt@gmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(danfe@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: danfe@FreeBSD.org Created attachment 257221 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=257221&action=edit Patch that switches the default tmpDataPath from /tmp to /var/db/vmagent The port probably shouldn't use /tmp for buffered data, since that folder is wiped on reboots. Instead, something in /var/db is a better default. The argument name is a bit misleading (remoteWrite.tmpDataPath), but that folder is used to store a persistent queue, and /tmp is very much not persistent. I've attached a patch file fixes this.
