This bug was reported in detail at
https://github.com/ipmitool/ipmitool/issues/388 you can see that it impacts
Dell, UCS and HPE servers at a minimum. There is a fix proposed on that github
issue since 2023.

However github is now where this project code lives so i suspect it has been
ignored.

I have juggled the patch over to codeberg and send a pull request here
https://codeberg.org/IPMITool/ipmitool/pulls/50

This bug is affecting our servers so we are hoping that this fix can be applied
to the freebsd port and we can unfreeze our packages. Hopefully it will
eventually be merged upstream or fixed in a better way.
