            Bug ID: 282731
Summary: filesystems/ntfs: rename port to filesystems/ntfs-3g
                    suggestion
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: kenrap@kennethraplee.com
                CC: freebsd@dussan.org
             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(freebsd@dussan.org)
                CC: freebsd@dussan.org

Here are my points to consider:
1) It makes the naming consistent with the other filesystems port names to
their official project names.
2) It's more explicit about what the port actually is.
  * So there is no confusion when people are looking for "ntfs-3g" in the ports
tree to build/install it.
3) It prevents the tiny possibility of a port name conflict when including a
future port with "ntfs" as the actual project's name.
  * Despite that possibility, it doesn't hurt to be preventative in general.
